Description

Klonk is a game development studio Munich, Bavaria, Germany. With its award-winning debut title Shift Happens, it has grown from a small student team to a mid-sized developer. The team consists of ten MD.H alumni who founded the company in 2013 after their graduation in gamedesign. Klonk works on own IPs as well as contract opportunities and external production unit.

History

Early history

Having met after classes at uni, the team worked on finishing their first game called Mercury Shift. The focus of that game already was a rich co-operational two player experience. After a nomination of said title for the newcomer award at the German Video Game Awards, Klonk took on the first contract work and started a small business. After successfully applying for a funding for the successor of Mercury Shift, Klonk was founded with the goal of finishing this title.

Now

Klonk delivered Shift Happens on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC in Early 2017 and is now working on a new title, as well as a contractor in various constellations. The team focuses on rewarding and wholesome player experiences of all kind. :)
